Conservatory, we are dedicated to create a place to awaken
the musician within each individual. A place where all generations

Associate member of the National Guild of Community Schools
of the Arts.
Voted Best School of Music by Urban Tulsa 2004,
2005 & 2009.
*Employs
over 33 outstanding faculty members.
Serves more than 600 students, amateur to professional, aged
three weeks to 70+ years.
Offers instruction in piano, violin, viola, cello, bass, flute,
drums, guitar and voice.
Provides comprehensive and intensive music education and full
merit-based scholarships to 60 exceptionally gifted students
in the Music School division. The Music School seeks to nurture
talent at an exceptional level through well-rounded music
curricula.
Provides Satellite Strings (Violin, Viola and Cello) classes
to more than 250 students in seven elementary and middle schools.
Provides Satellite African Drums classes to 35 students
in elementary schools.
Provides Satellite Guitar Talent Development classes to 60 students in elementary and middle schools.
Provides Satellite Early Childhood Music classes to 80 pre-K students in three elementary schools.
Provides Early Childhood Music classes to 54 parents and kids at the Conservatory Downtown location and in Jenks.
Partners with local, national, and international art organizations
to advocate the arts as a critical part of complete education.

enhance quality of lives and to promote aesthetic, musical,
emotional and creative potentials regardless of ability
and age.
CORE PROGRAMS: MUSIC SCHOOL DIVISION
The
Music School division provides the finest in music education.
It serves students who display the potential to pursue music
as a professional career. Its programs are structured and
intensive. All students at the Music School receive full merit-based
scholarships.
Auditions
are required for scholarship consideration. Students in the
Music School develop overall musicianship. Under the skilled
and compassionate guidance of dedicated teachers, they learn
to strive for excellence.
CORE PROGRAMS: MUSIC CENTER DIVISION
Music
Center division is non-selective, flexible and designed for
community members of all ages who desire to pursue music education
for personal enrichment:
Early Childhood Music Program - A caregiver/child
program (newborn to five-year-old) which emphasizes building
the bond between these two individuals through music.
Individual and Group Classes – for all ages
and abilities in piano, violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar,
voice, drums, clarinet, saxophone and flute.
Satellite Talent Development Groups – the Conservatory
provides Satellite Strings, Guitar, Drums and Early Childhood Music Programs to partnering
public schools.
Talent Identification – the Conservatory
visits public and private schools to conduct music aptitude
tests and identify students with high-music aptitude.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS:
Barthelmes Trio – founded in March 2005.
The Trio consists of Barthelmes Conservatory Music Schools'
piano, violin, and cello faculty. The ensemble offers a selection
of Chamber works from Classical, Romantic and Contemporary
music repertoire. The Trio is available for concerts, presentations
and performances for community organizations including social
service agencies, community centers, hospitals, elder care
centers, arts organizations and libraries.
Talking Music – the Barthelmes Conservatory
presents monthly evenings of Talking Music, a series of informal
concerts, recitals, and lectures featuring a wide spectrum
of music genres, forms, and styles. These events are free
and open to the public.
Master
Classes – training opportunities with nationally
and internationally renowned musicians.
Summer Music Camps – fun and unique learning
opportunities for students to develop their skills in small
performing ensembles.
Open Concerts & Recitals – an integral
part of the student experience at the Conservatory is the
opportunity to perform.
